Warm, creamy Camembert topped with honey, rosemary, and toasted walnuts makes an impressive appetizer that couldn’t be easier to prepare. Serve it straight from the oven with crusty bread, crackers, or fresh fruit for dipping.
Featuring Reny Picot Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese, this simple recipe lets the rich, buttery flavor and creamy texture of the cheese take center stage.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) Reny Picot Camembert
- 1 tablespoon honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 small clove garlic, thinly sliced, optional
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Sliced baguette or artisan crackers, for serving
- Apple or pear slices, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Remove the Camembert from its packaging and place it in a small oven-safe baking dish.
- Using a sharp knife, lightly score the top of the cheese in a crisscross pattern. Be careful not to cut too deeply.
- Drizzle the Camembert with honey, then sprinkle with chopped walnuts, rosemary, garlic (if using), and a touch of freshly ground black pepper.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the center is warm, soft, and wonderfully gooey. Avoid overbaking, as the cheese can begin to separate.
- Remove from the oven and finish with another light drizzle of honey.
- Serve immediately with warm baguette slices, crackers, apples, or pears.
