On September 15, 2019 Reny Picot was honored to have the opportunity to participate in Culinary Extravaganza 2019 at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan.
More than 750 guests attended Culinary Extravaganza 2019 and the event raised more than $90,000 for Schoolcraft College’s Culinary Arts students and programs.
Reny Picot participated by donating a gourmet spread of Reny Picot cheeses and a variety of accoutrements. The star of the show was the grilled St. Rocco Triple Crème Brie topped with fresh strawberries, a balsamic reduction, and a drizzle of honey.

Culinary Extravaganza (CulEx) is a gustatory celebration where guests can stroll and sample food and beverages from a curated collection of Michigan’s best restaurants and vendors, as well as food prepared by Schoolcraft’s Culinary Arts students. CulEx is Schoolcraft College’s signature fundraising event held annually to benefit student scholarships and the school’s nationally-renowned Culinary Arts programs.

All equipment in the Reny Picot factory is state-of-the-art and designed exclusively for use in the manufacturing of the company product line. The cheesemaking process is truly an art form, and many old techniques are still followed in conjunction with advances in technology and adherence to strict sanitary guidelines.
Reny Picot has been the recipient of hundreds of the most prestigious awards in the dairy and cheese industries, including awards in the World Championship Cheese Contest, American Cheese Society, and the United States Championship Cheese Contest.
