Savory Baked Brie with Garlic, Thyme, and Honey
This recipe transforms Reny Picot Brie into a savory, indulgent appetizer that’s perfect for any gathering. Topped with roasted garlic, fresh thyme, and a touch of honey, this warm, melty brie is best served with crusty bread or crackers.
Ingredients:
- 1 wheel (8 oz) Reny Picot St. Rocco Triple Crème Brie
- 1–2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (plus a few sprigs for garnish)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Sea salt
- Sliced baguette or crackers, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Brie: Place the brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a small ovenproof dish. Using a sharp knife, gently score the top of the brie in a crisscross pattern, making shallow cuts (this will allow the flavors to seep into the cheese as it bakes).
- Add Toppings: In a small bowl, combine the garlic slices, fresh thyme leaves, and olive oil. Spoon this mixture over the top of the brie, ensuring the garlic and thyme are spread evenly. Drizzle honey on top, then sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper over everything.
- Bake: Place the brie in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and beginning to ooze but not completely melted.
- Serve: Remove the brie from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with extra thyme sprigs if desired, and serve warm with slices of baguette or crackers.
Enjoy this deliciously savory, herbed brie with a hint of sweetness—it’s the perfect balance of flavors!
